Are you interested in being a Shriner or want to know more about Shriners then go to www.beashrinernow.com and learn all about us and why we do what we do.
The
Oshawa and District Shrine Club is a part of the parent umbrella of
Rameses Shrine Temple #33 in Toronto. Which in turn is part of the
world’s greatest philanthropy based in Tampa Florida. We operate 22
children’s hospitals giving free of cost care for specialty treatment in
burns, pediatric orthopedics, polio, loss of limbs, spinal cord injuries and neuromuscular disorders as well as
the leaders in cleft lip and palate reconstruction. Our care is given up
to age 18 and in many cases beyond if the child is in our hospital care
program prior to 18.
The Shriners are committed to providing care to children worldwide and we
work in conjunction with many Community Care Organizations to assist
children in much needed treatments and care. We are in the process of
building a state of the art hospital in Montreal which will be opening
in the near future.
The Oshawa and District Shrine Club has a beautiful hall that we rent out for Weddings, Birthdays, Banquets, Anniversaries and Celebration of Life ceremonies with full bar facilities and our very own catering services. Handicap accessible and newly updated washroom facilities.
Consider our hall for your future needs as the money raised in using the hall also goes to the direct care of ***OUR KIDS*** Watch for us in the community parades, cheer us on as it makes our attendance worthwhile knowing that you are in fact helping raise money for the hospitals. The statue on our front lawn epitomizes each of us. If you know a child that could be in need of our services, please contact us at the numbers listed on the web site.
We live by the motto ***No man stands so tall as when he stoops to
help a child***.
